Project Implementation

Transitioning into LinkUW is a structured and collaborative process that helps units rethink how administrative work will get done while aligning with this new service model. Units will work with the LinkUW team to identify challenges, explore opportunities for improvement, and shape a future state that meets their needs and the needs of the university.

  1. Prepare: Unit leaders identify their Transition Team members and inform units of their participation in LinkUW. This work happens in partnership with and supported by the LinkUW team.
  2. Discovery: A series of meetings and activities to discover how work is done today and who is doing that work locally and working together to identify opportunities for work realignment. Discovery also uses facilitated processes to align current roles within units to those in LinkUW and conduct an analysis based on the current service catalog to identify duties and responsibilities remaining in the unit.
  3. Transition: The process of people and work moving from local units to LinkUW. This phase also includes informing the unit on how to use new services.
  4. Launch: Testing, training, and communicating to prepare units and teams as they begin to use LinkUW
  5. Support: Proactive transition support from LinkUW designed to help employees through their first experiences with LinkUW
