LinkUW is about streamlining operations while increasing consistency and continuity of administrative operations across the university, reducing complexity for faculty and staff, and creating a common way of delivering services to increase efficiencies and reduce rework/delays in processes.
Across the university, there is a high level of complexity and inconsistency in processes that lead to rework and delays. The employees handling the operational work may have a wide variety of duties they are responsible for completing. Additionally, the world of higher education is fundamentally changing at a rapid pace. The way we operate must change to best serve the mission.
LinkUW will build on current strengths found in the partner units to improve how administrative services are provided across campus. Employees are doing a great job of delivering quality services, but our complex organizational structure creates challenges.

When a unit transition to LinkUW, some employees and some work moves from local units to LinkUW. Organizing teams around HR and finance functions creates opportunities for employees to grow their expertise and career through collaboration and exposure to different operational activities.
